Before surgery

In most cases a facelift (face lifting) is performed under local anaesthesia and on an outpatient basis. It is also possible to do it under general anaesthesia or under sedation.Duration of stay in the clinic
It is reasonable to stay in the clinic for about four days. Thus it is possible to head for your home without bandages and with freshly washed and dressed hair.After the procedure
To avoid swelling of the face it is advisable to elevate the head while lying for about 3 days. The hair will be washed after 4 days. A local disinfectant spray can be applied easily by the patient herself. The sutures will be removed after 10-14 days.
